Field Eagle

Laboratory audits can be time consuming and ineffective. ASL has a solution using data collection tools that make the process faster, more accurate, and more efficient.

Field Eagle (https://www.fieldeagle.com) is inspection software that ASL uses to collect information during laboratory visits. Modules include sample preparation, health & safety, fire assaying for gold and assay quality control. With over 600 possible criteria, detailed information and photos are collected in easy-to-use software that is compatible with Apple and Windows-enabled devices.

The criteria were developed based on several decades of commercial and mine laboratory audits. The questions are designed for geologists or metallurgists, with most answers selected from a drop down menu, “yes or no” or a comment. A photo can be added to any criteria from within the software and photos can be annotated to highlight observations.

Laboratory staff are encouraged to accompany the reviewer to help with laboratory or chemistry-specific questions and terminology.

When the templates are completed, they are uploaded to the Field Eagle platform and a report is generated automatically in Excel or pdf format. The report immediately flags any non-compliance issues which allows for near-real time feedback to the client.
